Less than a minute later, the film ends with a dim lit, out of focus, skewed shot of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's framed picture hanging on a wall. The film ends suggesting that the torturing is not over.

"Unang Araw" is a public service advertisement produced by Southern Tagalog Exposure and KARAPATAN - Southern Tagalog for the Free Jonas Burgos Movement. The short video is based on the experience of Pastor Berlin Guerrero, a Protestant Pastor who was abducted and tortured by security forces of the government last May 27, 2007.
"Unang Araw" is Southern Tagalog Exposure's initial attempt in the short-narrative film genre.
